Description
September wine club is all about giving you bottles to celebrate transition. The end of summer, the autumn equinox; warm days and cool nights. We're not quite ready to cozy up under a blanket and we're definitely not gathering wood for fires (yet!), but we're down to take a wine tumbler down the street for a little afternoon walk. We're absolutely ready to enjoy a dinner on the back porch. These wines are here to help you decompress and emotionally prepare for chilly, spooky season.

Terres Blondes 2020 Gamay.
This gamay is sourced from Loire valley grapes in Touraine - harvested by hand, carbonically macerated and aged without oak. This gamay is earthier than the fruitiest Beaujolais, with minerality and tang to back up a floral nose and crunchy red fruit. Drink this with pork tenderloin in a mustard-apricot glaze.

Clos Siguier 2018 Cahors.
Cahors is divided into two distinct terroirs — traditionally known for its heavy and brooding black wines that take years to reveal any fruit, these dark tannic wines come from the heavy soil down by the Lot River. This wine, by contrast, is made from grapes grown on better-drained terroir, up on the flat terraces above. This wine expresses the lighter and brighter side of Cahors. Surprisingly bright and fruit-driven with depth of red and black fruit, subtle terroir and silken tannins. Accessible, but also age-worthy. Drink this with a grilled burger and finish the bottle while binging Netflix on the couch.

Storm Point 2022 Chenin Blanc.
Chenin blanc is our favorite "food wine" with its fresh apple flavors and mouthwatering acidity. It makes all kinds of meals taste better. Storm Point's Chenin is from South Africa - a rugged terrain known for it's decomposed granite soils. Stone fruit and citrus notes are at the core of this wine, with a very present splash of salt water. Bright, with herbal undertones, and a minerally finish. This wine would seriously elevate take-out (or even grocery store) sushi or an Uber Eats poke bowl. Don't threaten us with a good time!
