Mallory Brooks Art Opening

Join us on Friday, July 11th from 6-8p for an Opening Reception for Mallory Brooks, an Atlanta local photographer whose work features vivid scenes of our most familiar places in the city. 

Mallory uses a variety of experimental analog techniques, especially one called film soup–which is a process in which she soaks film in substances like boiling water, salt, dish soap, matcha and more, taking the film to the point of destruction. Many shots don’t survive the process, but the ones that do create vibrant, unexpected and one-of-a-kind photographs of familiar subjects and places. 

Mallory will be showing her work at Press shop from Friday, July 11th through Thursday the 17th, so come by anytime during the week to view these incredible pieces in real life and purchase your own prints!
