Description
The Giachino estate has been in the Genton family for centuries, with the current regime headed by Frederic and David Giachino on a certified organic 9 hectare vineyard along the slopes of Mount Granier.
The Black Giac is comprised of 100% Mondeuse, fermented in barrel, matured in stainless steel, and bottled unfined, unfiltered.
While Mondeuse has a reputation for being overly green, this is a gorgeous expression with just enough rusticity to keep it interesting. Wild dark berries, phenolic spice hints, tea, and floral notes round it out.
