Custom Letterpress Stationery, Printed By Hand In ATL.

Welcome to the world of letterpress via ATL. We take pride in dreaming up, designing, and printing anything that belongs on a beautiful sheet of gorgeously thick paper--right here in our Summerhill shop. Wedding invitations for your big day? Of course! Business cards to help your business stand out? You bet! Personal stationery to send romantic correspondence across the ocean to a long-lost paramour? We're here for all of it! So check out the info below, and hopefully we can make something beautiful together soon.

Wedding Suites

Custom wedding invitations are our bread & butter (actually, our champagne & cake). From organically romantic calligraphy to vintage-inspired florals to punchy colors with quirky details, we can work together to design a wedding invitation—and all the fun accoutrements that go with it—that reflects the exact vibe you’re going for on your big day.

Business Stationery

Look at you, with your boss pants on. Whatever your professional endeavor, we can help you represent yourself well with a suite of stationery that makes sure folks know who you are, and all the awesome stuff you can do. Business cards and letterhead are no-brainers, but we can print all kinds of other creative pieces to really help you stand out in a crowd.

Personal Stationery

The art of the handwritten note is not dead! If you love dropping real paper into the actual mail as much as we do, you definitely need something special to write those words on. We can help design and print personal stationery with a name, monogram, or even a personal logo to ensure that the mail you send is as special as you are.

Trade

Are you in “the biz”? In other words, are you a designer, stationer, or wedding industry professional who’d like to use our print services for a client or collaborate in some other way? (OMG, do you have a crush on us? We’re blushing!) Because our shop is small and we work on antique machines, we like for our design partners to feel comfortable with our process, capacity, pricing, and timeline. Send us an email here (hello@pressshopatl.com) to give us details about the project. We’re excited to hear your ideas and are excited to discuss bringing your vision to life.

Our Process

We are a full service design and printmaking studio, and we’re fully capable of printing anything and everything we design right here in our Summerhill workshop. We have two antique letterpresses that live behind a sunny window overlooking Georgia Avenue, and you’re welcome to come in and watch us do our thing. (Pick up a gift or some wine while you’re at it!). If you want to place a custom printing order, check out our process (to the right) to get an idea of how we will work together. We’re always happy to answer questions and give you as much guidance as needed to make sure you get exactly what you’re looking for.

Step 1: GET INSPIRED

Check out the custom work we’ve done before, from weddings and calligraphy to business cards and funky labels. Find the pieces that speak to you—whether we did them, or someone else—to get an idea of the direction you want to go. We can literally design anything—that’s what custom means. It sounds weird, but it even helps us to see random inspiration like interiors, clothes, landscapes. Anything that communicates your aesthetic gives us more clues about how to put the perfect thing together. Bring your ideas, and we’ll bring them to life.

Step 2: GET IN TOUCH

Send us an email here (hello@pressshopatl.com) and tell us what you know. The most important pieces of info we’ll need are your timeline and the types of pieces you’ll need in your custom suite—do you need wedding invitations with reply cards, menus, and maps? Or a starting set of business stationery? Any other information you want to share is great, too—the more details, the better.

Step 3: GET DOWN TO DETAILS

We’ll set up an appointment, either on the phone or in person here in Summerhill, to walk you through all the decisions. Paper choices to the exact wording (should I include the periods in R.S.V.P. or not? Answer: Yes, because it’s an abbreviation. See, we know stuff.

Step 4: GET IT INTO PRODUCTION

Decisions are made, proofs are approved and the presses are inked. Once we have everything confirmed, we get rolling. Literally.
