Description
Podere Pradarolo Ex Plana is a skin-contact white wine from Emilia-Romagna, Italy, crafted exclusively from the indigenous Spergola grape. The vineyards in the Parma hills at elevations between 250 and 500 meters benefit from southern exposure and clay-loam soils rich in active limestone. Cultivated organically since 2004, the vines are Guyot-trained with a planting density of 3,000 vines per hectare, maintaining natural grass cover to promote biodiversity. The grapes undergo a 30-day maceration on the skins in the cellar, fermenting spontaneously with native yeasts in concrete vats. The wine is bottled without filtration, fining, or added sulfur.
