Founded in 2022 by writer Aliza Abarbanel and baker Tanya Bush, Cake Zine is based out of NYC and is an indie bi-annual print magazine exploring history, culture, literature, and art through sweets.
Cake Zine’s seventh issue, Forbidden Fruit, explores how fruit fuels temptation and transgression. This indie literary food magazine contains one hundred and six pages of essays, recipes, art, and more including:
