Grüner Veltliner from the Wachau region of Austria. Ried Kreutles Vinyard • Soil Type: Loess with loam • Fermentation & Élevage: Spontaneously fermented in stainless steel then élevage in steel with a small amount of neutral Austrian oak.
The easternmost of the two vineyards at the foot of the Loibenberg hill, this vineyard has been in the Alzinger family for decades and was previously blended into the village level Grüner Veltliner. Made up of loess, the soils at the top of the vineyard are also dotted with gneiss and the bottom with gravel.
