Description
Tilenus Crianza La Florida is a red wine from the Bierzo made by Bodegas Estefania, a winery founded in Valtuille above and Pieros.
This wine is a varietal Mencia (100%) from “La Florida”, an old vineyard with vines 60-80 years old, planted in glass trellises on steep slopes. The vineyards are on clay soil with boulders, at an altitude of 600-700m above sea level.
Regarding the process, after the manual harvest, a spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine spends 12-14 months in French oak barrels which have been lightly roasted. The wine finally rests in the bottle for a long period of time, before going to market.
