Clos Bateau ‘May Ga’ Beaujolais-Lantignié, 2024, 750ml

$52

Description

On the heights of Lantignié (418 m), old Gamay vines growing on pure granite yield a sincere and warm red wine. Two weeks of maceration in concrete, followed by aging in neutral Burgundy barrels, impart a supple texture and a quiet depth. The nose evokes black cherry, violet, and white pepper. On the palate, the wine settles in, ample yet taut with granitic minerality. The finish is long, caressing, almost oaky in its aroma. A vibrant and elegant wine, perfect slightly chilled at the table or by the fire.
