Elisa Guerin is one of the rising star producers of Beaujolais. She was raised with childhood friends Ophélie Dutraive and Alex Foillard, and knew their wines from an early age. Today, she runs her family's estate with a ton of passion, and they own a tiny plot of 60-100 year-old vines in the Cru of Chiroubles, just southeast of Fleurie.
Grown in sandy soils with rocks of pink granite, it is a complete master class in Gamay and in Cru Beaujolais. Perfectly ripe, wonderfully textured, juicy, and complex, it is a joyful wine to drink. Medium-bodied, silky, and flowing with notes of red and dark berries, dried rose petals, black tea, violet, spices, and mineral, this is an exciting and intellectually stimulating bottle of wine.
