New Moon Gathering with Maggie

Come gather under the New Moon. 

This is a monthly space for reflection, conversation, intention-setting, and connection—using astrology as a framework to explore what’s happening in our individual lives and the collective season we’re moving through.

Hosted by Atlanta-based astrologer and community organizer Maggie McCloskey, each gathering begins with time to settle in, sip wine, pull a card, flip through an esoteric book, and meet the people around you. From there, Maggie offers an approachable introduction to the astrology of the New Moon—what’s happening in the sky, the themes it invites us to consider, and how this moment connects to the larger astrological story we’re all co-creating.

No prior astrology knowledge required! Regulars range from astrology devotees to people who only know their big three to total beginners. We’ll use the themes of the New Moon as our container, moving between guided journal prompts, personal reflection, and group discussion designed to spark the kind of conversation that goes deeper than small talk.

You can journal, share what’s on your mind, listen to different perspectives, or simply take it all in. Participation is always an invitation, never a requirement. Depending on the month, Maggie may also incorporate a creative activity, ritual, meditation, or other practice inspired by the astrology of the moment.
