Maison Chanzy has been producing stunning Chardonnay and Pinot in the heart of Burgundy for almost 50 years now. In 2013 they expanded their ownership and expanded their vineyard holdings with it. They now own and sustainably farm over 160 acres of prime grape real estate. Les Fortunes is sourced from two vineyard sites around the town of Bouzeron in the Côte Chalonnaise. The typical clay and limestone soils of the region give this wine its distinctive acidity and minerality. Fermented in stainless steel and aged 10 months in neutral barrels this is a wine that could easily age for another 5+ years but is really entering its prime right now, so why wait?
