Description
Jazzy Juice is a soulful, light-bodied red wine of predominantly Pinot Noir and a small portion of Pinot Gris. It is the rainbow child of improvisation, experimentation, and harvest delirium. It started with the idea to try a "reverse saignee," where directly pressed Pinot Noir juice was added to a fermenter partially filled with destemmed Pinot Noir berries. Simultaneously, we co-fermented 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Pinot Gris and lightly punched the cap twice a day. They were barreled down separately, and allowed to age for around 10 months before the two were blended together and bottled. "What other planet features this?!"
