100% Pinot Noir from Verzy Grand Gru - clay and chalk soils. A rose de saignee from 16 hours of contact with skins, made in stainless steel with 30 months on the lees.
Rich, deep color - almost red. It smells of cooked strawberries, raspberry coulis, a slight scent of vanilla bean. On the palate it's fleshy and rich; brown bread, black cherry and Chinese plum. The faintest tannin leaves your palate dry - this is the kind of Champagne you would drink with your steak, not before.
